Vortex Awarded Civil & Structural Engineer's Yearbook Of Engineering Achievement Award

The Vortex Companies was awarded the 2022 Yearbook of Engineering Achievement Award in the water/stormwater/wastewater category, having received the most votes on our City of Houston GeoKrete Geopolymer rehabilitation project.  

This City of Houston project recently also received the Trenchless Technology 2022 Project of the Year.  

The City of Houston project involved a major public transit line for America’s fourth most populous city. The project was unique in that it was completed with minimal impact on the area’s residents and businesses.  

This year’s Yearbook of Engineering Achievement Award represented international firms from both the eastern and western hemispheres submitting their work for the coveted award. This competition was special in that groundbreaking projects honored in this year’s submittals were chosen by the audience of Civil + Structural Engineering Media.
